Rancho Yolo Senior Community
Rancho Yolo is a senior mobile home park with 262 homes. It is filled with trees and circle streets creating a true park-like setting. As a senior park, each home must be permanently occupied by at least one person who is 55 years of age. The minimum age to reside in Rancho Yolo with the senior owner is 45. Rancho Yolo management and home owners work together to provide a welcoming environment.
Park Amenities and Upkeep
As a privately owned enterprise, park management maintains the infrastructure, including roads, pathways, swimming pools, water and sewage pipes, and a laundry room in the clubhouse. The staff also handles pick up of trash, recyclables, and yard waste. Owners are expected to maintain their own homes and yards, including trimming of trees and shrubs and painting of homes and sheds.
Rancho Yolo Community Association
A group of residents formed the Rancho Yolo Community Association (RYCA) to provide a variety of activities for all residents. The clubhouse is the center for activities. The Social Committee plans a monthly social event such as a catered dinner or potluck with entertainment. Other scheduled activities include bingo, game day, bible study, billiards, and a book club. To keep residents informed of events, RYCA produces a monthly newsletter. The Association posts the newsletter on their website, runs an email communications site, and maintains a telephone tree to keep residents up-to-date on park activities. They also produce a yearly telephone directory. There is a small library, maintained by volunteers, on the ground floor of the clubhouse.
You will find friendly neighbors who watch out for each other. Two swimming pools are available for summer recreation and exercise. You and your grandchildren can enjoy the smaller kids’ pool together. The atmosphere in the park is laid-back and quiet—parties tend to end by 8 or 9 p.m. by choice. As a resident, you have the opportunity to participate in as many or as few activities as fits your lifestyle, physical abilities, or inclinations. For retired or almost retired seniors, the Rancho Yolo community is a great place to call home.
More Information for Residents
Once you have moved in, the RYCA Welcome Committee will greet you and provide you with a Welcome to Rancho Yolo booklet and telephone directory. The Park Manager will give you a copy of the Rancho Yolo Senior Community Rules and Regulations, which provides detailed information covering all park rules and regulations.
